In the upcoming edition of the Sustainable FUTURE Summit organised jointly by us, the FUTURE Institute for Sustainable Transformation and the Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) focuses on sustainable food systems, presenting & discuss possible solutions to food & nutrition challenges.
Together we want to focus on key components for a sustainable future of food, such as alternative proteins, blue food, (regenerative) agriculture, upcycling, mushroom mycelium as a response to continued biodiversity loss, climatic challenges and food/residue waste management.
Our aim is to foster practical, actionable solutions that go beyond a purely technocratic approach. The event will generate insights, facilitate expert networking, and present current academic research. Thereby, we will bring together corporates, startups, regulatory and academic representatives focusing on solutions.
The event offers an interactive format that includes impulse presentations and a panel discussion. The impulse presentations highlights various scientific and experimental aspects, from academic research to examples of real world technologies tackling food systems challenges. The panel discussion brings together different perspectives about the future of susainable food systems. This event is free of charge for all participants.
The Sustainable FUTURE Summit - Edition Sustainable Food Systems thus offers a platform for:
- Gain insights into leading strategies and innovations of sustainable food systems
- Network within the food-agriculture-nexus
- Interactive discussions with leaders and experts
We not only need a shift towards carbon-neutral and societally viable food systems, practises and technologies, but food systems should further be efficient, sustainable, nutritious, resilient, serving the livelihoods of people and benefit the earth.
